2 Different topics but figure I'd put them in 1 thread. Enjoying FHM 7 a lot (as usual for the FHM series, another great job team).

On Waivers:

I see you've finally taken the kid gloves off: we can get our own players claimed on waivers (at least at the NHL level). I don't have a problem with that at all, but one issue I've noticed is that AI teams who make waiver claims can automatically send those players down to the AHL without waiving them again.

This is something I've noticed since FHM 4, and I don't have an issue with it. My guess is that it avoids AI teams simply claiming someone, having to waive them and then that player ends up in an endless loop of being waived > claimed > waived.

Where I see this becoming an issue is at the trade deadline: since there's still a roster limit post TDL, in previous games I'd waive players to stay roster compliant after making moves. Is there a possibility that roster limits could be removed after the trade deadline (but still with the salary cap at 81.5) in a future update?

Second, on the draft:

Why was the draft moved to post July 1? It's the only issue I have with FHM 7. It just feels weird. I'm guessing it's possible to move the date back to June with commissioner mode, but as someone who players almost exclusively with challenge mode on, that's not an option. Is there any chance this gets changed?

There's currently an issue with the waiver logic the AI is using that results in them claiming a lot of players who need to be sent down, it'll be fixed in the next update.

The draft was moved to July so expansion teams can take part in it. It can't be moved back to June.

Thanks, Jeff. I understand the expansion team issue, just feels "off" to have free agency open before the entry draft. I love the new draft lottery though, great feature!

Is this to be in the betas or not yet?

I just saw two NHL guys go from waiver claims direct to the AHL in my game and wanted to check.
