The Ray sadecki problem

I am doing a historical league without real lineups and transactions. I have added some fake guys as well. At the end of my first season it would not let me progress a day as it said I had to do something with “ray sadecki”. Now I had no ray on my team but this guys was sitting on my waivers. His history showed a career ending injury and it says retired from baseball. Weird. So I just moved him into my minors and he ended up being claimed by someone on the rule 5

As I progressed to January 1st I checked the “recently retired” list and saw this

A bunch of guys who retired at 1976 but others who have a 0 year. All these guys had “retired” but are still on rosters and are ready to go this season I guess.

Any thoughts? Can guys retire but then decide to resume? Why did sadecki end up on my roster? He did play on the Mets in 77 in real life so there is that. I checked my historical tab and nothing weird checked off. Curious if anyone has thoughts. If they had career injuries I can go commish and then retire them again I guess but curious if anyone has a thought here why they came back?

It's a bug.

The injury retirees portion of that post was fixed, but the ongoing retirees returning, it appears, wasn't fixed. Maybe in 22?

Thanks for sharing your photo. It's a good way to find these players and manually retire them again after they come back in the fall (If you're not playing in Challenge Mode)
