do not join this league. League is great concept, but commissioner is terrible.After my mother passed away from covid, I was only running ai on my team (without promotions or demotions) and only checking rosters occasionally. My last-place team wasn't competing that year anyway. Commissioner unilaterally decided to fine the team millions of dollars because roster was a bit short from pitching injuries (24/26) and a bout at Coors destroyed the bullpen. Commissioner didn't set a notice or warning and was aware of my mother's recent passing. He basically is heartless and self-absorbed. Don't support that kind of person. Do not join this league.

To the commissioner's defense, this guy has mismanaged this team for awhile and it isn't the first time he's ran a short roster. When we only sim 1 series at a time, there's no reason to run a short staff and allow 84 runs in a 3 game set. Especially when you have been exporting and still being active on slack. The commissioner is always willing to help out teams when a GM has a life emergency and can't tend to their team. This is 100% on you, not the commissioner.

The commissioner didn’t bother to talk to me. He declared he can do whatever he wants. That’s not a caring commissioner; it’s selfish and disturbed. Dealing with the passing of parent, caring for the other parent and moving him into your home while you also care for an infant and work full time took precedence. I brought the crappy team from bankrupt to stable and to the 3rd best farm system. Losing while rebuilding is fine. A few games getting out of whack deserves a conversion to understand rather than just taking unilateral action while declaring that you are doing it and can do whatever you want. There is no defense of his actions.

This was the first online league I joined and I've enjoyed it immensely. While competitive, the owners are down-to-earth and great to work with. The one series simmed at a time allows you to get a feel for your organization and get things set up more easily. If you can laugh and realize this is a game, then this league is for you.
