Maximum number of leagues/teams?

Hi! Not sure if this has been asked before, but is there some sort of maximum number of leagues and/or teams that you can add before the game gets too slow to run?

I was running an association with 50 leagues and 300+ teams.

I've got a fairly new and souped-up MacBook, so speed wasn't an issue for me.

But various problems started creeping in with regard to days not advancing and the Draft was a schemozzle. This was for both 21 and 22, so I don't think it is a new bug, but rather an issue caused by the size of the thing.

The other issue was file size. Even early on in the piece and despite few reports and no replays or the like being kept (although I was using Facegens and other graphics), the save was unwieldy from the start (about 3 Gb) and got exponentially worse as you'd expect.

This is a pretty big outlier, I know, but thought it would still be of interest in the context of the thread topic.

I don't have a fancy computer... But I do think I've gotten up to 300 teams (but not 50 leagues). Maybe it's just a hardware thing.
Would like to find some way to cut down on file size, though.

Cut all unnecessary add-ons such as WPA Graphs, 3D Movements, Highlights, Replays.

Limit reports to a fixed period, or none at all.

Have appropriate players deleted when they retire.

Don't use facegens.

They'll all cut down the file size greatly.
