details about talent / future talent / rel. talent / rel. future talent
I did see one old thread about these but it didn't really help explain what it means..
Two examples to look at. Both players are currently on my farm team in AHL Looking at a 21 year old prospect currently with 3.0 ability/4.0 potential Talent 7.5075 Future Talent 7.4916 Rel Talent 8.2095 Future Rel Talent 8.1936 What exactly is that telling me especially where Future numbers are below that of the other numbers Other example is a 23 y/old with 2.0 ability/3.5 potential where Future numbers are higher than current: Talent 6.4000 Future Talent 9.8748 Rel Talent 7.1020 Future Rel Talent 10.5768 what is this one saying exactly? Also, are these numbers hard coded or will the fluctuate based on performance? and does it matter that these guys are in the AHL at the moment - will the numbers change when they get to the NHL (which seems likely) Thanks |

The talent and future talent numbers on the edit screen are the internal versions of ability/potential prior to being converted to the 5-star system and without any scouting error. They're calculated from the actual ratings and potentials of the player. As the ratings change, so will those numbers.

With this, I've noticed that there are occasionally times where I'll increase the potential of a player, and their fut. talent will decrease. Why is that?

Any players in particular you remember? Sounds like the calculation being used in that spot might be an old one that had an issue with that, I can check it if I know of a player it's happening with.

Unfortunately not off the top of my head? I want to say Michkov and Wright are two of them, but honestly I am not positive.
