OHL Draft problems

I hired 12 Ontario-based scouts and 20 US scouts based in the OHL territory. I had scouting set to be handled by the assistant.

Throughout the season, I noticed that no one on the monthly scouting report was getting scouted so I started adding unscouted players to the watch list manually.

When I finally got to the draft, there were a grand total of 45 players scouted. I assume only the ones that I added manually from the monthly top 20.

The fact that there is no way to examine the draft pool or get a sense of how well you have scouted the draft class before draft day is a major issue. Short of having that, you would hope the assistant would do a decent job of covering the territory. Instead, it's not working at all.

Have a look at the scouting screen's Priorities tab - which areas are at the top of the Maps and Regions sections, and is Prospects the first thing on the Player Type section after Watch List? That sounds like the AI may have set something wrong there, but I've tried it in a test game and it seems to be making the proper selections.

I looked at this, they seem to be in good order.

BC

Is there a reason that the draft pool is not made searchable? A list of eligible players provided?

There is also an obvious lack of depth. 20-30 players in the class who project as useful OHLers if they reach their potential. Not nearly enough to sustain the league.

I did not come across any players in the draft class who favoured the College route, either.

Lots of issues here. Not sure why anyone would play this mode as is.

Yeah, that order should scout the Ontario guys first. Can you upload the save (instructions here)? I'd like to see what's going wrong there.

Got the save, thanks. I think I found a couple of issues with the scouting logic that are causing that, working on a fix for them now.

Heya Jeff,

Sorry to bother you but I had the same problem. In the OHL I had litterally 10 guys scouted and "prospect" was at the top of the list for all the year and my Canada map was fully blue!
