"Our League" Season 4--Who Wants To Play Our Way?

For the first time this version, OL has no teams at the Rookie tier. Stone is a random jumble and one miss at Bronze. Here's the breakdown:

Stone - 5 teams (2 in one league, 3 others off in 3 separate leagues)
Iron - 7 teams
Bronze - 11 teams (10 in one league, Iron Maiden off by themselves)
Silver - 10 teams
Gold - 9 teams
Diamond - 4 teams

Nice pairings in OL I177, and Sunday Drivers should see some action as well. Interesting that I see many non-OL teams we've been with in previous seasons.

I actually bought some mission rewards instead of completing them, but I bought lefties Clayton Kershaw and Guidry. As a result of adding them, I have now made my team a lefty-cheese team so they live up to their name. Interesting to see how that will affect things.

I also hope that my relief at not being in with BFF isn't too short lived

It's not looking good in Stone. Some guys must have given up with their friend lists, and I'm wondering if San Francisco have friended Seattle, cause we're not getting linked?

I'll try to hang around in Stone for another week, but if there's no joy next week, I may as well get up to Iron.

I find it "interesting" that one week there are 18 BFF teams mixed in with us and this week, zero!

You might want to read all of his post, it's a sound explanation.

Lord knows why they want to put different friend groups together, but that seems to be how the game functions. Some weeks OL and BFF fit in the same league, and some weeks they don't.

We are together, but the Nowhere Men only have 4 OL games total (a couple of 2 game series with Annandale) so they won't be factoring into the OL crown this year.

This has to be one of the oddest line scores I've seen in awhile....

one team racked up 11 hits in the game and scored 4 runs... the other team only managed 2 hits but still managed to win 5-4

13 walks didn't help, of course

Cary out front, Shinbone not too far behind. Could be the story of the season, but we'll see.

I can't remember exactly how many games Paxville lost to Cary at the end of last season, but they extended their losing streak by another 6, to somewhere around 15/16 games - before finally winning one! Best of luck to Cary in their attempt to get promoted this season

Two new additions to the Syrups lineup (completed the Negro league OF group for about 92k, which finished off the NL missions):

2B - Jackie Robinson (100)

and

CF - Oscar Charleston (100)


Ryne Sandberg and Carlos Gonzalez will be sent to the reserves to make room. Robinson will take over at second for long-time starter Adam Kennedy (who will move to the bench), and Charleston will patrol center field.
