Joseph Myers 1905
His only major league appearance was with the Athletics on October 7th, 1905, when he was the starting pitcher in the second game of a double header against Washington on the last day of the season. Myers was credited with a complete game in the 3-3 tie called after five innings. He allowed 3 hits, gave 3 bases on balls, and struck out 5. At the plate he was 0-for-2 with a run batted in. His image had appeared in the Philadelphia Inquirer on October 4th, wearing an Athletics uniform, and is copied below.

Ed Walker 1902

Facepack upgrade for Walker. He is pictured with the 1903 Cleveland Naps, and nicely enhanced with the Remini app.

Charlie Manuel, Rangers?

I've missed stuff in plain view before, and that's what I'm feeling now ... Recently posted for sale on eBay were a couple of spring training based photo of former Twins and Dodgers outfielder Charlie Manuel. But both shots clearly portray him in a Texas Rangers uniform.
Nowhere in his SABR bio or Google search has turned up anything. After the leaving the Dodgers for Japan, he played overseas until the age of 37. He looks younger than that here, bit he's clearly no kid. Can anyone pinpoint the year he was in Rangers' camp?

Jack Hoey 1906

Hoey is given the Remini treatment and, while not perfect due to the source material, came out relatively good.

Pug Bennett - Remini

Pug Bennett from Krantzbucks after Remini treatment. Eyes are a little "cocked" but generally decent on the face...not so much on the cap and jersey.

Joe Ginsberg 1948

Taking inspiration from cinemaodyssey, those '53 Bowman cards make good subjects for Remini upgrades.

Joe Ginsberg 1948 - Topps tweak

Speaking of Ginsberg...

This is an "upgrade" to the Topps photo posted by Merkle923. Ran through Remini and removed the color cast on the original.

1886 Oshkosh Photo

We have now come to what we believe to be the end of the analysis process. Below are the names we believe to be accurate. Any input from contributors would be welcome either in confirming the results of our research or putting forward alternative suggestions.

Top (l-r)
Dummy Hoy, Charlie Hallstrom, George Harper, Walt Kinzie, Jim Burns, Charlie Pope

Middle (l-r)
Billy Harrington, Charlie Chase

Bottom (l-r)
Ed Gastfield, Gus Krock, George Rooks, Wash Williams, Charlie Ingraham
By the time Gus Krock and Jim Burns joined the club in August, Pope, Harrington, Rooks and Williams were gone. At the beginning of August, the club got new uniforms, "old gold and blue" according to the Oshkosh Northwestern (July 31, 1886). The photo looks like it includes the new uniforms.

I would propose
Top (l-r): Hoy, Unknown 1, Harper, Kinzie, Burns, Hallstrom
Middle (l-r): Billy Roche (who took over for Harrington), Chase
Bottom (l-r): Gastfield, Krock, Unknown 2, Unknown 3, Ingraham?

Candidates for the three unknowns would be:
Frank Bishop, who was with the club all season
Ed McKenna (July & August)
John Green (July & August)
Jim Gallagher (August & September) - I think this might be Unknown 2.
Bart Duane, who was with the club early and again late may be another option.

Green and McKenna seem to have left about the same time Burns and Gallagher arrived. It's not clear there was overlap between them.

Jim Gallagher may actually have been Pete Gallagher (aka Pete Galligan), whose photo on Baseball Reference is likely wrong.

If the photo was taken towards the end of the season (September), then you can add James Hillery and Joe Masram as options and drop Gallagher.

Re: 1886 Oshkosh

Many valuable insights here. For the benefit of everyone else, I have included photos of John Green and James Hillery for comparison. I do not believe they are pictured. Ingraham is most certainly in the bottom row, far right.

Ed McKenna was noted to be very small, so that is a potential clue. The man seated in the middle of front row looks pretty small, so perhaps it is him?

It's definitely possible this photo was taken upon their return from a lengthy roadtrip and right before McKenna was released. That player does look particularly diminutive.
