All Fictional Players Now Have My Name

This is a new one, at least to me, and I can't find anything about it on the forums.

When creating fictional players, the game is now giving every player my name. I'm testing out a few setups and everything worked fine until, all of a sudden, now every fictional player has my name or a variation of it. Looking in the game's Database tab, for number of names it lists 4.

I'm on the latest patch, and I've double-checked that the first_names and names files are still in the DB. I've also restarted the game.

This is only happening with fictional players. The game still populates historical players correctly.

Anyone have any idea what's going on?

Any chance you created a player and cloned him multiple times?

No, no cloning. I've never created or edited a player to have my name.

Guess I'll just reinstall and see if that fixes it.

One of the devs suggested I try renaming the names files and that fixed the issue. Names files are now localized, so I added "english" to the file names, i.e., names_english and first_names_english.

Why do people use different players, different lineups, different strategy, development, talent change randomness, and the development lab, but judge the game on whether it produces historical statistics?
