Three problems so far in 2D engine

First, as reported elsewhere, there seems to be a problem with the in-game sound. The crowd background sound seems to come and go -- going off after a goal is scored and perhaps coming back again after another goal is scored.

When playing in "Few highlights" mode, the scoreboard clock does not appear to count down while the game is playing. It jumps after an event such as a goal. When in between highlights, it seems to count down.

The play-by-play does not seem to be showing up.

I've run games in full screen, and in windowed modes with different sized windows.

Yeah, something's off with the sound, we'll get that fixed.

The immobile clock sounds like an issue we had during beta testing, I'm wondering if it got fixed in the other view modes but not Few Highlights.

Play-by-play is very limited in 2D mode, you won't see the same amount as you would in classic (the classic PbP tends to describe things in a lot of detail, and is built around a system that divides the game into events that can last multiple seconds at a time, where 2D resolves things down to a fraction of a second;so, the old PbP wouldn't match up well with what you were actually seeing on the ice. We're trying to figure out a way to incorporate as much as possible of it into 2D, but it's going to be a big project and other 2D projects are taking precedence over it.

Thanks for the response!

Regarding play-by-play, the only thing that shows up when not in full play mode is GOAL when a goal is scored. The screen shot below shows game play under "Few highlights" and you can see there is nothing in the play by play area. I had expected the same sparse play by play under Few highlights as under the full game mode.

Under the Few highlights mode, another odd thing happens. When a penalty is called, a box shows up indicating the penalty. Then, when play resumes, there is no one in the penalty box and there is no power play indicated on the scoreboard. A power play goal is then scored and a player token suddenly appears coming out of the penalty box.

My general impression is that displays are not properly updating under viewing modes other than full game.

I've now tested 2D with All goals, many highlights, and average highlights and all these modes behave the same as few highlights, namely, no play by play shows up, the clock does not count down when highlights are being shown (it simply jumps to a new time at the end of a highlight), and sound is not on consistently, except for the goal horn (which is played strangely as noted elsewhere in the forum).
