In historical game, season 1917, enable historical editing checked, NHL playoff best of 3, the playoff format is always total goals series.

Best-of-3 with a 2-team playoff is hardcoded to create a 2-game total goals series at the moment - if you change it to best-of-5, though, you'll get a normal series.

historical league, 1946 season, the series of the time (#1 vs #3, and #2 vs #4) remains whatever changes I make (#1 vs #4, #2 vs #3).
