Entry Draft Disappears in Historical Mode

So when I retired my GM in 1957 The Entry Draft seemed to have just stopped happening, it never shows in league events. I thought maybe it would return with the expansion in 1967 but no Luck. Any clue how to get the draft back or is it just gone.

I started this historical League in 1917 and would hate to have to restart it all over again

Just for Clarification I'm referring to the Amateur Draft that's supposed to happen every year, currently I had been just editing players and assigning rights but that's getting to be harder now that I'm to 1970 and have 16 NHL Clubs

So attempted to Retire the next GM the same method as the first in an attempt to bring back the draft with no luck. WHA started up and they aren't having drafts either. Anyone at all have any Idea on how to bring the draft back?

One possible thing to try, in my historical game I noticed that the waiver and intraleague draft events wouldn't schedule, even when I had those boxes ticked and hit save on the rules page.

I found that I needed to change another setting (e.g. increase average goals or PIM per game slightly). then save it for those drafts to work. This is all at July 1st obviously.

Also maybe try changing the number of rounds in the draft and saving.

I know probably won't be seen as the new version is out, but weirdly same thing happened again with a different Historical league n a different machine even, the commonality I have 8 teams running instead of 6 through the 50's and 60's(Kept Brooklyn and the Maroons)

I retired my GM at age 69 on July 1, draft was scheduled before retirement, then afterwards gone waited a year tried adjusting settings/draft rounds still no draft.
