So Cary Southpaws have been working on doing the Franchise Heroes #3 missions this week. At this point, we are five missions (six players) short of completing them: three prime missions, one Team #3 mission, and one Selects mission.

I expect we will finish in the next day or so... at that point, we might be pretty good for gold level. But it has eaten up a lot of my savings.

In Diamond, Paxville went 2-12 to end day/month 2. They dropped from top of the league down to 4 games above relegation, but still with the 3rd best run diff. They're 3 games better off than Seattle - with a 176 better run diff...

I need OL to distract me from this madness .

Sugar Hill on Top in OL S303

The Gang grabs the lead, but with a record 18 teams, it's way too early to call that lead comfortable.

There is an exciting race heating up in OL action--for second place! Nowhere Men are completely dominating OL right now.

Nowhere Men and Cary Southpaws are also leading their divisions. Nowhere Men have the league's best pitching AND OPS (dominating on both sides). This team is hot. HOT. HOT! HOT! HOT!
Several OL teams are in the WC race.

With 3 of the 4 teams showing OL action, here's a first-look at the standings. The 4th team, Sunday Drivers, will join the fray this month, with all four teams eventually playing enough OL games to vie for the title.

Nowhere Men are still really hot! They keep winning against everyone. I mean hot. I mean really hot. I mean really really hot.

In PT league the Nowhere Men, Cary Southpaws, and Port Ruppert Mundys are currently in playoff positions. The Southpaws' southpaw Warren Spahn pitched a no hitter. There are some other OL teams battling for WC spots. One positive development is that while there are fewer OL teams in the playoffs (now) there are currently NONE set to be relegated (it has been a while since no Gold teams have been relegated).

Sugar Hill Still on Top in OL S303

The Gang continues to set the pace, while OL is also well represented in the PT race.

Sugar Hill Stretches Out a Little in OL S303

With a sizzling 10-2 month, the Gang put a tad more distance between themselves and their primary chasers. Despite a stellar 12-4 July, Keystone fell back a bit, as did HelthWyzer, 12-5, while Baltimore went 7-6 to slip to fourth.

So Nowhere Men only went 4-2 this month so they are no longer over .900 in OL play. They also still have a nearly insurmountable lead. Cary Southpaws have firmly established 2nd place.

In PT play OL teams look like they are headed for 3 playoff spots. Nowhere and Cary are solidly leading their divisions and Silly Mad Brewers and Coney Island Warriors are currently leading the battle for the last WC spot. Currently, 8 BFF teams and 0 OL teams are set to be relegated.

In a close, lightly-contested race, Route 66 stays in front. The best overall team in the league, Ostego, remains in last for now.

The Gang Hangs onto Lead Despite Slow August in OL S303

Sugar Hill slipped to 8-6 this month, but the other contenders failed to capitalize on that minor misstep, with Keystone going 9-6, while Baltimore and HelthWyzer each checked in at 8-8. The only major move forward came from the Sunday Drivers at 12-6.

Nowhere Men have not clinched but have a magic number of 4. Cary still has at least a chance.

Route 66 is on top, HOWEVER, it has just been discovered that scheduling irregularities will lead to Hot Rods being disqualified from title contention. (They will end the season with only 9 OL games played, 1 short of title qualification...unless this rule has changed, which could be the case)

The drive for the title comes down to the last OL series, a 3-game set between Route 66 and Sunday (Sep 12-14). If Sunday can roll over Route 66 in at least 1 game, the trophy will be theirs.

Having been informed of their ineligibility for the OL crown, Route 66 phoned it in during their 3-game series with Sunday, as the Drivers captured the OL B260 title.

Sunday has clinched a spot in the postseason, while West Burlington's magic number is down to 3.

Diamond League

Unsurprisingly, Annandale and Seattle had a tough time, whereas Paxville were dealt a much less severe division. Plus, I lost patience (again) and splurged on completing FH3.

Annandale beat Seattle 12-7, Paxville didn't play.

I've BADLY missed OL this week!!

Gold League 'ALT'

Brooklyn were just a little bit ahead all season, but Knockemstiff took the games between the two 12-7.

If the Shiners get past the wildcard, the Dynasty are absolutely welcome to the promotion spot

Sugar Hill Prevails in OL S303

The Gang went 10-6 since the last update to hold on over the hard charging Keystone Kops, 9-4, and the Sunday Drivers, 14-5. The victory parade was announced for 10 a.m. Monday, commencing at155th St. and Amsterdam Ave, heading south to 145th, east to Edgecombe Ave.and then north past bleachers set up in Jackie Robinson Park. A stage will be erected at St. Nicholas Ave and 155th to complete the celebration where the team will join with the present members of the the hip hop stars of the same name for a group rendition of "Rapper's Delight."

The Cleveland Greys probably set a record by winning 19 games since the last standings post, while losing just 9. They actually won 20 overall in September and October. They also had an OL schedule that was the envy of the entire loop. The Greys played nothing but OL games from August 19th through to October 5th, posting a 26-15 mark. It was a wonderful week for OL fans, with a busy schedule of league action. Las Vegas, with 70 games, were the "least" busy. Boston topped out the games played list at 120 contests.

Next season may not be quite as well populated, as Asheboro will be heading down to bronze, and as many as four teams will be heading to silver. Currently, at least Sugar Hill and the winner of the Keystone-Asylum match up will be going up. There is a decent chance at an all OL semi-finals.
