Custom tournament finals

Why is it that when custom tournament finals end in a draw, there is no overtime, and no champion is decided? is there a way to set it up so that there is always a champion

Sounds like a bug in the way the tournament game rules are set up, we'll have a look.

when setting up their tournaments you should have options if overtime or shootout the length of overtime and number of players on the ice, Number of penalty shots basically the same option you have when setting up a league

Still on the list, hasn't been fixed yet. Season-end tournaments might be added in one of the remaining updates, but we'll have to work out some schedule-conflict issues, which may be complicated.

most season-ending tournaments last a week at the most.

The duration isn't the problem, it's ensuring that all the leagues are finished before the tournament starts. It's probably going to require some checks to prevent tournaments from being created if any of the participants could still theoretically be playing when they're supposed to begin, and probably some restrictions on playoff format and/or schedule length editing that might jeopardize an existing tournament.
