Trade Difficulty

What seems to be the sweet spot for you guys? There isn't much out there on what differentiates the difficulties. I want trades to be realistic, but not impossible.

I have it on normal and think it seems okay so far.

However, I suspect a few stats for GM's influence the ability to swing trades.

I know in FHM7 my GM ended up being maxxed in all stats and the trades he was able to pull off were just crazy good. I often found myself adding an extra draft pick or two (and/or a unsigned player) to the deal to help the other team out.

I haven't done too much trades in 8 yet and of course my GM isn't maxxed yet so I can't speak too much but so far I'm content with normal setting.

But still at the start we should not getting stupid offer from AI.... ok trade skill when you initiate a trade deal with an AI can play on how he will accept it.... but still if we get offer from them should be realist.

I have fun to play FHM 8 but about making trade, not at all for now

For me this has always been the big issue since the beginning of FHM..I usually play for an hour or so then take my refund because the game is not satisfying when it comes to trades. Imo trades are 50% of the game. This year i bought the game and kept it to support these guys but i am really hoping trades get fixed or this may be the last purchase i make. I don't understand why they can't just implement what they have done with the baseball series which btw is so much fun..Fix trading and this game will be one of the best sports manager games out there.

I'm still pondering this. I'm managing a QMJHL team and have difficulty on "normal," and it seems OK so far, though I did get a prospect goaltender a little more cheaply than I'd expect. He's fourth on my depth chart right now, so it's not leaving me racked with guilt yet.

I play on the hardest setting in OOTP, and I think this might be a key difference. When you're negotiating in OOTP, you get guidance from the other GM about who he'd like to have ... those lists of players attached to a "NO WAY!" message. In FHM, I have not seen that. I just get a flat "nope," and I think that makes it harder.
