Silvam, with the new Philadelphia Veteran's Stadium you just uploaded I tried several times to get your new version with all the ads across the OF wall load into my game and I still keep getting the same old version with no ads. Even inside the new stadium file when I open the JPEG photos for Day and Night they still are photos with no ads. Is there a new version that I am missing somewhere? I downloaded from this post and also tried downloading from your directory on page one of this thread of this new stadium file I get no ad photos along with no ad prk files.....

It seems that every season I have to go in and reset the positioning of the players on the fields, even if it's the same field being used as the previous season. The image is an example of one. Is there something I can do to make the field that gets loaded (or reloaded) each year stop overwriting where I position the players?

This is after I moved them around. How do I get them to stay as-is with this ballpark (or any ballpark?)

When you position everything the way you want it. You need to export the .prk file which will save to your league import/export folder.
Now. If you copy that to your ballparks folder, it should stay after each season Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Let me use my current park as an example. I'm in the middle of a season, but I think at the start of the season it shows the Ballpark Name in the editor as Robison Field with a years range in parenthesis (I'm assuming it's 1893-1919 because I see a .prk file called robison_field_1893-1919.prk in my data\ballparks directory. The first thing I do is change the Ballpark Name for each field in the league to remove the years. Next I move the fielders around when I see that park in a game (I don't know how to do it otherwise). Are you saying that at this point I should export the renamed park with repositioned fielders using the Export this park's data to a file option? If I then copy it back to my ballparks folder how do I keep the game from automatically overwriting it next season with file with the years in parentheses, requiring me to repeat the process? |

First off, let me clarify where your ballparks are. You say that "the park is in my data\ballparks directory." All your parks should be in "C ![]() Last edited by Braden; 02-20-2022 at 04:01 PM. |

Here's an image of a couple of my folders. The only place that I have ballparks seems to be in the data folders, but they seem to load properly from there every season.

There is no Data folder in the correct installation. The ballpark folder is in the main folder as shown here. Did you add that folder? If so, it was a big mistake. Are you using Windows? |

I have no idea what you are talking about by saying 'correct installation'. The game was installed by Steam, the ballparks were loaded from the Steam Workshop and enabled in the game. Since the game did all this it is, by definition, correct, not to mention that it works. You're going off on an irrelevant tangent which has nothing to do with my question about how to keep the parks from losing my changes each season. Maybe yours is installed incorrectly.

I have used steam for this game in the past, and it always installs it in the same place as the non-steam game, and there was no data file in the main file. The game always asks some question whether you use Steam or not. You obviously did follow direction, otherwise it would work. Maybe you should uninstall and reinstall correctly. My game works perfectly because it is installed correctly. Silvam told you how to fix your issue with by saving the .prk file and copying it to the park folder. If you do that correctly, it won't overwrite the new .prk file unless you re-install that park. Also, it sounds in your response to him that you are adding that park's new .prk file to each of your other parks. You need to make a new .prk for each park. If you can't figure such a simple thing out, I can't help. |

The game is working fine, so I don't know why you keep insisting it's not installed correctly. It is. Stop assuming that you know so much more than anyone else, as you obviously don't understand what the game does upon installation. If you didn't install your copy of OOTP22 with Steam then you obviously have no knowledge of what you are talking about, and I can't help you understand because you are having an issue with a very simple concept. |

As I have said, I have used Steam on a couple of older versions, and they work fine. I just prefer not to use Steam as I have more control of updates, add-ons, etc. When you use steam, it still installs all the game files in your Documents folder, as shown in the picture I uploaded before. As you can see from the picture you uploaded, the ballparks folder you are trying to use is in the Steam folder in your Program Files (x86). That is why it is not working correctly. I have a hell of a lot more knowledge about this game that you do! I am finished trying to help you. I suggest you ask on the Tech Support page of the forum. Why do you keep saying that something is not working correctly? Everything IS working correctly. You seem to be off in your own world. No one has said anything is not working correctly.

If you can't be civil, then ignore each other and post a ticket for your problems you are having. Baby Ruth, you aren't going to be around long if you continue this kind of posting. Please refrain from name calling. Braden you need to let it go please. If not warnings will be posted.
Last chance guys. |

Sorry if I missed something in the last bunch of posts. When steam downloaded the stadiums. Did you install them in the game by going to the steam workshop? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks for following up, silvam. The only question I actually have is how to make my edited version of your park (taking year out of the field name and rearranging the players onfield) to remain in use until there's a new field replacement. I'm not clear on the technical side of how to do this. My hunch is that it's using the year range in the file name to determine the park to use. I thinking I have to put my copy for any given range in place of yours. Am I close? |

The field name needs to match what is in the era_ballparks.txt file. So if you are changing them in the game, you need to change it for the years you are using them in that file ( in the data/database folder. Try that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
