Trade issue

I'm not sure if this is an issue of my understanding of the situation or not but...it's the trade deadline. I've received an offer for Dadonov from the Panthers, it's below what I'd like so I go to do a manual trade with the Panthers and Dadnov uses his NTC to reject being involved, despite being included in the original offer from the Panthers....

He was originally a waiver claim earlier in the year, if that makes any difference.

Either way, is that a bug?

If Dadonov was a waiver claim earlier in the year, he should have a temporary no movement clause attached for the remainder of the season.

The temporary NMC is a coding workaround the developers added to patch the exploit of claiming someone and then trading them, (without following the real life rule of having to offer them back to the original team first). The devs were looking for a workable solution, but had to go with the temporary NMC in the interim.

Not a bug - the AI's trade offer is separate from the trade offer you initiated, so the NTC gets re-evaluated, and in the second case, rejects you (it's a bit more lenient in AI-created offers.)

It does seem to vary greatly, as I've also got an instance where Milan Lucic is included in an offer from the AI to the AV's but then he doesnt want to go when I try and manually trade him - He wasnt even a waiver claim, just on my roster from the get go.

Then I've got Robert Thomas who WAS a waiver claim, he's subject to an offer from Vegas and he WILL be included in a manual trade attempt to them despite his NMC or whatever, so there seems to be a variety.

Is there anyway of me being able to tell who may be subject to these sorts of instances outside of just having a NTC or NMC as part of their contract or being a previous waiver claim? As you can see from te above examples it's hard to tell who will do what, or is it all just subjective on a player to player basis.

It's just a little frustrating as for instance the offer for Thomas from the AI is, as per usual, very low however, I am able to manually negotiate an appropriate trade with them and I just wish I could do this with the others, or that the AI make offers more akin to the players value themselves initially.

Not at the moment. Trying to think of ways to improve that, but it gets unwieldy from a database perspective to be tracking lists of which 10+ teams each player with an NTC/NMC is willing to move to, and keeping them updated so they make sense with shifting circumstances.
