Looks like he was in Chicago at the end of his career, probably wearing 78, and the game used that number in the story about the number retirement instead of the correct one. Probably have to change the way that's coded in the number retirement story.

Yes, the guy had Crosby on his Blackhawks team when he retired, and he was wearing 87 in Chicago too.

In my historical game Gordie Howe's number was retired, but it was the wrong number too. He played his last season on my Leafs team and he had his number 9 there. Yet the Wings ended up retiring some other number.
