2071 Set-up is Set
Since I wasn't able to get the set-up done last week and everything came out well, I almost hesitate to do it now, lest I jinx us. However, since I took the time to figure it out, I'm going forward with it, and will take the blame if... Nah, to hell with that, if it gets messed up, it's still PT's fault.
In PT play, we have an OL series in bronze, with Terra Incognita facing West Burlington. Port Ruppert is in the series in diamond. Silly is still alive in gold, and silver may have an OL series with HelthWyzer facing Sugar Hill and Coney Island still surviving. There's considerable lag time in the updating of the universe, so it may be awhile, unless someone posts it first. Finally, there having been no other voices raised, I revisited my youth and tabbed Mantle and Gibson for the silver awards. Anyway, here's the way it looks for 2071: Diamond - Silly, Knockemstiff, Paxville Gold - Cary, Babel, Nowhere, Sugar Hill, HelthWyzer, Coney Island Silver - Seattle, Algoma, Waffletown, Brooklyn, Sonora High, Las Vegas, Gettysburg, Route 66, South Holland, Shinbone, Cleveland, New York, San Francisco, Gear Terrace, West Burlington, mTerra Incognita, Baltimore, Shoebox, Keystone, Lemp Ave., Otsego Lake Bronze - Sunday, Boulder City, Boston, Inland Empire, Asheboro, Daytona Beach, Iron Maiden, Lumberton, Asylum, Left Coast, Bluffton, Hartford I'll be back with at least one PT trophy later. Good luck to those still playing. |

See you next week
Silly and Port Ruppert lost their respective series. In checking on the Mundys schedule I saw they lost three of the games by one run, with two going into extra innings. Game seven was one of the overtime losses with errors by Greg Maddox and Tony Gwynn opening the doors for four unearned runs.

[QUOTE=Stanley Kuppchaser;4871947]Since I wasn't able to get the set-up done last week and everything came out well, I almost hesitate to do it now, lest I jinx us. Although the irony of only one team being left out is kind of amusing, especially since that team had all the others on its friends list, and has had them there, and has played with most of them for many recent weeks, it still is a real bummer. I guess the RNG gods were out to get me for the quoted remarks. However, I'm not that amused, just disappointed with the game...again. For those wondering, only the Asylum Keepers were left out in the league assignments. Last edited by Stanley Kuppchaser; 03-14-2022 at 08:40 AM. |

In Diamond, Knockemstiff and Paxville are currently due to just play each other 7 times. With Port Ruppert and Silly in the same division, I'm not gonna complain if they play for a crown. |

In checking the outline of the league rules, D.361 meets the minimum of four teams with at least two having 10 OL games. |

Silver
Seattle - with a seemingly brief appearance in Silver before returning to Gold - sits atop the Silver scoreboard. The Steelheads shone in the second month, sweeping most series, with Algoma sustaining the only real success against the Seattle club.

Port Ruppert Clings to Slight Lead
The Mundys salvaged one game of a three tilt set to stay in front. Silly and Port Ruppert have six more games left, but will not play again until August, so the next standings will be on Saturday morning. Knockemstif and Paxville should be finished with their abbreviated schedules by then. Is anybody doing gold, or have they gone the way of the bronze standings?

Cary Southpaws are having a big week so far and lead OL. Nowhere Men are close behind in what should be a two team race. |

Silver
It's been 43 seasons since the Brooklyn last appeared in Silver. The Dynasty's 2071 cameo appearance has them in the lead.

Just Sunday morning alone would be fine. Before you check out, please pick a team for the Founders Cup, if you've a mind to. Thanks. |

If you haven't made up your mind, you have another week. So far, there's only one vote cast, which was sent to me via PM. If you'd rather not vote in public a PM on the forum is fine, but the voting will close next Saturday night, let's say 9 p.m. EDT. |
