Just looked it up:

1965 - natural grass with dirt infield.
1966-70 astroturf with dirt infield
1971- sliding pits introduced.

So it looks like for 1967. The only change would be the color of the grass.

I think I'm not the only one who'll be looking forward to that!

I honestly don’t know what I can do to help your 67 game. I don’t want to make a whole new iteration to change just the color of the grass/turf

I should probably make a version of the old park with the sliding outs starting in 71.

Maybe I can post a different texture file that you could just change out in the park textures directory. That might work

I actually like the proposed changes to the park, but I hope they do not change it again in a few years. There have been instances in which stadiums that were designed to be "pitcher friendly" to begin with (Comerica Park in Detroit, Citi Field in New York) end up with the fences moved in a few years later. Hopefully, the Orioles create something pitcher friendly and stick with it.

Yup. Citi field comes to mind as well

Super work on the new OPACY dimensions. As an Oriole fan, i'm still iffy on the change. But..analytics.

Out of curiosity, for the Kingdome, was there a reason for labeling it as an open stadium with grass?

Everything looks great and love seeing the older ballparks. Thanks for all of your hard work!

To get the latest versions of the historical fields, do we have to download each stadium zip individually? I don't see a full package.

Can someone please tell me how to get the O's ball park on to the game? This is my first time ever trying to upload a ballpark and I am having the worst time.

When in doubt read the stickies. Silvam14 made a tutorial on how to add stadiums years ago that still applies.

OOTP23 parks update!

I have posted a new link to my mediafire which includes all latest versions of my historical stadiums for the stand alone version (steam workshop will be posted soon after the workshop has opened for OOTP23)

Not every stadium has updates and I have made too many to list them all. Just a few that come to my mind:

- New Astrodome version (1971-1991) with sliding pits
- New Memorial Stadium stadium version
- Team Logo discs added to fences of Exhibition Stadium, Veterans stadium (later years) and Arlington Stadium (1 version)

- Many other fixes/tweaks to various parks. I played around a lot with 1901-1920 parks, so I tried to fix annoyances that I saw when using them.

Also included is my version of the Camden yards changes, although this does not load automatically in 2022.

Have fun using them and please send me feedback on any parks. At this point, I'm really only going to make changes if things are brought up.

Enjoy

Silvam: thanks so much for OOTP23 historical stadiums

..Just purchased the Steam version of OOTP23 an hour ago. I cannot wait to upload your historical stadiums for my Steam version of OOTP23. Please let us know here when they might be available in the Steam OOTP 23 Workshop. As always, your incredible work is always appreciated.
Questions, if you don't mind:
-I can't take the historical folders/stadiums from their OOTP22 folder(s) and drag them to OOTP23 ballpark folder(s), can I?
-I notice that many facegens are missing from the new OOTP23, for some reason. Can I drag the 2022 facegens to OOTP 23, do you (or does anyone) know?
Thank you.

you can do both of those things. However, I would be more careful with the stadiums. I would copy over only the custom stadiums from 22 to the 23 models folders. its a little more work but better than messing up the game stadiums.

just copy 10 or so folders at a time. That's what I do. only have to do it once

good point, thanks. I assume your historical stadiums that you'll eventually place in the OOTP23 Steam workshop will be the latest historical stadiums that you created (and that I imported from the workshop) from Steam's OOTP22? Which were all great. You're not (yet) creating any NEW ones just for OOTP23 yet, correct? So I can move over the hist stadiums from OOTP 22 into OOTP23?

If I download the historical stadiums and put them in the /ballparks/models folder before I start any leagues, do I need to do the following step?

In the game, go to park editor, under actions menu, select "Manually import data from file into this park", navigate to park folder and select .prk file

Thanks! I love your stadiums

Mike,

These really look good.

I was looking at them and noted some things with the Astrdome parks: 1965-1970 only has a .prk file in the folder & 1992-1999 has no D&N pictures.

Are requests open for designing stadia? I am trying to make one for my Hartford franchise, but I wouldn't know where to begin. I have a historical reference to what I want but I don't know how to make it.
