The Action Baseball League (Prime)

I am brand new at this game and my hat is officially off to the guy who's been communicating with me the last few days about this work of art and his team.

I have no idea what I'm doing but I've been on computers and baseball sims long enough to have learned some things. Thanks to all who produce the videos and all who share in this space. Again, my hat is off.

OOTP 23 is going to allow my dream to come true. I can finally play my league the way I envisioned decades ago.

The Action Baseball League is something I have dabbled with since I was 10 years old; fifty years ago.

Now I will be starting my fictional league in 1972 and see how the next 50 years will unfold.

I am in the process of setting up Jerseys, Logos, and Caps. Once I'm done I'll begin the inaugural season of ABL'

About 30 years or so ago, I spent (way) too much time crafting a website to display my hobby. Way Back Machine has captured some of the old pages. Looking back, it was a labor of love.

You can check out/navigate most of it. The Gifs is used to display stats, lineups, etc. are there but several are missing.

So, geek that I am, I call this new league ABL' (pronounced "able prime") because it is an alternate to the original. I use many of the same team names and I will reflect connections to the original ABL.

I have a similar world football league that I created and made it to paper over 30 years ago. I still have those notebooks! I tried to fuse my league into Draft Day Sports' Pro Football and Front Office Football, but those football sims do not let me evolve my league like OOTP allows (expansion, contraction, etc.). Though I did create a league in FOF and let it run about 70 years of history, I do not consider it "canon" for my league.

I hope you can stick with this! Even if you get to a point of not posting a lot, updates here and there on a league that has existed for you for 50 years is a league that lives!

I must be doing something wrong as I am new to this, the ABLprime folder is in the quick start folder yet it doesn't come out when I scroll the qucik start menu.
