Considering Starting a Modern League

I was thinking about starting a modern league, with a live start when the league is filled. I was hoping to make it pretty similar to real-life MLB, economic inequality and all. I wondered two things: what a league constitution would look like for that, and how much work it would entail, as I am starting graduate school in the fall. Feel free to discuss underneath.

Also, is it ok for the Commissioner to run a team in a league? or is that something frowned upon.

Just join an existing league. There are enough out there with the setup that you're looking for already.
