Freezing on Mac
I'm having trouble with freezes on OOTP 23, but the problem I've been having has been around for years (probably since XX, maybe 21 when it started). I'm playing on a 2019 MacBook Air, so that might be the problem, but often when I use the right-click menus or deal with shortlists my game enters a state where the drop-downs can occasionally be accessed but nothing (besides potentially the player names) can be clicked. I usually am fine with this--resizing the window or holding esc sometimes buys me enough clicks to save and restart the game, but this time it didn't work. I was wondering if there were any other tricks to save my file as I don't really want to lose the progress--auto-save point was in 2 days after the playoffs ended. Hitting esc clearly does something as the cursor still changes when hovering over the menus at the top of the screen, player names, etc. For the exact time when it froze--I recently created a shortlist (which I never really do) and was on the salaries menu using right-click to add them.

Not sure if anyone would really believe this but after hitting the sim button without any response from the game, I'm pretty sure my game simmed (at least) 3 days and into the auto-save range. I force quit and got sent to November 1st (It was Oct 28th). The shortlisted players saved, which I certainly didn't save after. I guess the point is just brute force it lol
