Active Roster Size No Limit
Is the only way for the historical lineups/transactions to truly be effective is by having Roster size to No Limit?
I notice if the roster limit is set it has some of the wrong players on the active roster. I would love to leave the active roster at 25 and still have the rosters be accurate so teams aren't using the 17th guy out of the bullpen. |

Historical lineups/transactions does not get you a complete correct roster. For one thing, "transactions" means trades, signings, and releases. It does not include demotions to AAA or trips to the injured list.
What you will get with that setting is the right players in the starting lineup and the right players in your organization, not a day to day duplicate of everyone who was on the MLB roster. Raising the roster limit won't do what you want.

Historical lineups + transactions does not mean historical 25-man rosters. Minor league callups and demotions are not included in the historical transactions file. The file, however, does include most other major league transactions, including stints on the disabled list.
