Lost login streak despite logging in every day for weeks

I cannot for the life of me figure out how the PT login streak works. While it says the login streak resets at midnight, if i log in at 8pm, then again the next day at 9pm I seem to lose my streak, despite likely logging in multiple times in between those hours.

This weekend I lost my 12 or 13 day streak despite logging in on Friday night and again Saturday night. Can someone please do a better job explaining how this works and also check if anything can be done to restore this streak? I now have a new active streak, although it is obviously shorter.

The day rolls over at 8 PM EST. My punch card reset twice on me before I found out that the PT Day is from 8 til 8, not 12 til 12. So you CAN login everyday but if you don't login at least once between 8 PM EST and 7:59 PM the next night you are out of luck. Again, happened to me twice but now that I know this I gone all the way through the Puch List (login streak) and am working on my second round through.

Thanks for the heads up. My Saturday login was definitely after 8pm EST, but Friday was earlier.
