Intensely Odd Bug

ON FHM 8
My league, SBHL, recently experienced a strange bug in where multiple teams had their arenas switched to random ones - and I do mean random. Seattle ended up playing in Beijing, Chicago in Detroit, and Vancouver in Calgary. While this isn't necciscarily a problem itself, besides the capacity, I'm worried about the stability of my save. It has been uploaded to the FTP server with the title 'SBHL_1872022'

The bug occurred for us in the following ingame weeks and months from that save date. We managed to fix it by replacing the cities and arena files, but regardless the fiiles stability is now in question and I was hoping you guys could have a gander. Oh, and we did test whether or not it was tied to faulty exports. It wasn't, however, as teams with or without exports had their arenas modified.

(P.S: We're also experiencing the NaN bug for certain teams finances. Any fix?)

Can you PM me the commissioner password for that? Replacing the cities and arena data the way you have so far should be safe, but we'd still like to have a look at the file and see what's going on there.

Any update? We're pretty much waiting on a fix (or lack thereof) for the file before we continue simming in our league.

Sorry for the delay, this one gave us some trouble tracking down the cause. The immediate issue is a missing arena that's breaking the arena ID index, but we're not sure how that could've happened - it shouldn't be something that an imported file can change. But Malte did fix the arena list and was able to sim forward with the new version without the issue happening again, so send me your email and I'll share the fixed version of the save with you on dropbox.

No problem for the delay! In the meantime between our Initial bug report here and now we've encountered another odd bug - Instead of yku providing the currently fixed file, I'll provide a description of the other bug and our more recent league file. This bug seems more dangerous since we couldn't find an ad-hoc fix like we could for the arena bug; teams annual Financials have been changed with no player input well into August... anyways, I'll send the file tonight. Thanks for your help!!

Uploaded as SBHL_SEPT1.zip, same password. In particular notable is vancouver; our GM (believably) stated that his spending was not all 0, specifically 'had normal budget and max player dev and marketing'

I'm not sure what could have caused this, nor if you can figure that out. At the very least, we'd like to know if there's a way to fix this ourself after July1st (or for you to do so for us. We don't have any particular metrics on whether or not the player dev. spending has impacts, but assumign it does, we dont think it's fair for VAN to be that far behind.

Which teams, exactly, were affected by the unintended annual finance settings changes? Knowing that may make it a little easier to track down.

What were Washington's settings? Still investigating the cause, but we can edit the save for you to get VAN/WAS back to what they were.

They both would have had max player development, normal budget and strategy, and 'no changes' in ticket prices 😌

OK, shared the fixed version with you on dropbox, let me know if you don't get the email from them with the download link. Vancouver and Washington finances reset, and the earlier problem fixed as well.
