george hainsworth - goalie

Hi

I have been playing a historical league
starting in 1917 and playing each season

Hainsworth stared in western hockey league with no
issues

after he entered the nhl, after the first season he retired
i tried to unretire him with no luck

the next season i just imported him, he played the season and retire
again, i could not unretire him

so i have been just importing him before each season, but he retires
ever time after the season

any help would be appericated

Looks like I had the wrong birth year for him, 1893 instead of 1895, so he's already in his mid-30's when the WHL shuts down. And I should probably adjust his Aging attribute up a bit, it's 17 right now which is too low for someone who played into his 40's.

is their any way i can edit his career stats to add the seasons he missed

i have Hainsworth in the player index, but have him for each season

FHM 8 is done getting updates so you can manually adjust his birth year and aging attributes to fix this.

At the start of the game in 1917, edit his birth year to 1895 and set his Aging to 20 (and remember to save the edit after doing that.) In a test game with all default startup settings, he made it to 1936, his actual final season, with those settings.

It's a hidden setting so you have to turn on commissioner mode to get at it.

Manager -> Options -> Commissioner Mode.
