We have a fixed schedule and get through a full year in three weeks. Using the following schedule:

SUN 5am EST Sim to April 1st Opening Day (Draft timer starts)
MON 5am EST No sim (Extra time to set opening day rosters)
TUE 5am EST Sim to Apr 14
WED 5am EST Sim to Apr 27
THU 5am EST Sim to May 10
FRI 5am EST Sim to May 23
SAT 5am EST Sim to June 6 (FYP Draft Completes)
Week 2
SUN 5am EST Sim to June 19
MON 5am EST Sim to July 2
TUE 5am EST Sim to July 15
WED 5am EST Sim to July 28 (Trade Deadline)
THU 5am EST Sim to Aug 10
FRI 5am EST Sim to Aug 23
SAT 5am EST Sim to Sep 6 (Roster Expansion)
Week 3
SUN 5am EST Sim to Sep 19
MON 5am EST Season Ends, Division Championships Begin
TUE 5am EST Division Champs End, League Champs Begin
WED 5am EST League Championships End, World Series Starts
THU 5am EST World Series Ends, Award Voting (protection lists available if applicable)
FRI 5am EST Award Voting Ends, HOF Voting Begins (If applicable, protection lists due, expansion draft)
SAT 5am EST HOF Voting Ends, Sim to Spring Training (Draft Begins)

Everyone's market size directly reflects the population of that city during that decade.

When starting or relocating a team, your fan loyalty is the inverse of your market size.

For example, Minneapolis has a population that would give a market size of "2" in 1900, so their starting loyalty would be "8".

Brooklyn's population would start their market size at "10" so their loyalty would start at "0".

This is a low drama, fairly competitive league.
