Historical Accuracy Patch (Cleveland Indians) for OOTP 23

Since MLB in their infinite wisdom has decided to revise history and pretend that the Cleveland Indians were never the Cleveland Indians, it falls to us, the modders, to change it back to the way it should be.

This mod changes the inaccurately-named Guardians back to the Indians in historicals, including their minor league affiliates. The 2022 quickstart is unchanged.

How to use:

Back up your /data/stats folder in the game's install folder.
Move the files from this mod into that folder.

Known issues:

The Indians had two teams in the Arizona League from 2018-19. Due to a lazy find-and-replace job, they're both just called the Indians if you start a game in one of these years.

Download:

v0.1 (Team names only, no graphics or fluff text edits.)
v0.2 (adds hints and historical recaps to the fixes; confirmed compatible with patches through 23.3.61)
v0.3 (updated for patch 23.4.64)
v0.4 (updated for patch 23.5.69)

Thanks for this mod. I assume you'll have to update it every time a patch includes changes to the .odb files.

Was the baseball team from Cleveland named the Indians from 1915-2021? The answer is yes, so it's making historically accurate.

ii can find the data folder but i dont see the sub of that for stats, a in anything under the ootp 23. a little suggestion would be please? the downlad for 0.4 is is on .3 not for some reason

Love this idea, but this mod doesn't seem to work anymore on the latest build. If you import rookies to the real teams, using historical minors, it seems that player stats get weird for Cleveland's affiliates. I tried a 1990 season with Manny Ramirez importing in 1991 and he was projected to hit almost .400 with 50 HRs. Only the Cleveland players have strange imported stat lines. Guys "real" batting averages are listed as like 3.147 in the game. Not sure what is going on. Again, it only has weird stats for players imported to Cleveland.

Won't need to, with my DB, which also brings back the Fed Leaguers. I name the folder stats_modified, and extract the whole folder into the stats folder in the game. That way, you don't overwrite any files in the stats folder that comes with the game, and patches don't overwrite this DB. Win/win. Link in my sig to the DB, and link to post with instructions.
