How to Create New Draft Pool
Hello all. Due to the highest person in my draft pool being 3 star, I deleted it and I want to have another draft pool created so when my draft rolls around, there are players available to draft. I am in the preseason right now and the draft is 40 days away. How can I have a new (fictional) draft pool loaded?

Set the draft pool reveal date to 39 days, or less, before the draft. A new pool will be generated then.

If you are using relative ratings you may not see many players over 3 star. For the most part 3 star is meaning above average MLB player.
Any 5 star players you would see in the draft would be near superstar potential which may not be in many drafts. If you are looking for higher stars, I think removing the relative ratings should give you the appearance of more 5 star players. |

On the Free Agent screen you can also click the drop- down for “Create fictional player(s)” , then you can fill out characteristics you want for your players. One of them is Quality, and there are about six different levels from Scrub to All-star. Then in the Draft Eligibility field make sure you choose “Eligible for draft”.

Changing historical draft pool
In our historical online league, we use historical players, but an issue we are having with our draft is that quite a few players come out eligible for the draft as 70/80 or some crazy level of development - often at age 17 or 18.
To increase the variability and make it more realistic, we're trying to figure out how to allow for a similar number of top-projected talent, but with the current ability down at 20-30, meaning a lot of development has to take place for them to reach their full potential. We have not found an easy way to do that that doesn't involve the commissioner spending hours modifying each individual player's current ratings/attributes. Is there a simple way to do this - perhaps a setting that can be modified that will cause the newly-generated draft pools have decent potentials but a lot of development needed? Because in real life, very few players come out of HS or college as superstars - they get there, but it takes a few years to reach their full potential. Thanks in advance! -Kilborn |

Are they 70-80 potential? Or 70-80 current ability?
