Historical/Fictional League Glitch?

I started a Historical League sim starting in 1901. I imported Nine future players...Pujols, Sosa, Trammel, Piazza, McGwire, Rice, Sandberg, Boggs and Raines and put them each on a team. My goal is to see how different era's affect a players stats as I was going to run the sim 10 years then move the players to 1931 then 1951 etc etc.

The "glitch" i am finding is that Sosa, Raines and Rice all get released by any team I put them on and do not get signed. Sammy Sosa was imported from 1995 with a 36 HR and 34 SB season therefore there is no logic to him being released and left to sit in FA for three years.

Any thoughts about what I may be doing wrong?
