One of the best pennant races I've ever seen if you're not a Yankee fan

I'm just simming through this league to build up some history to eventually play in it but I had to comment on this pennant race, The Senators got Babe Ruth in this league but the Yankees drafted great defensive shortstop Dave "beauty" Bancroft who was even a little better than Ruth pitting up surprisingly good offensive numbers to go along with great defense for over 10 WAR on the season. Both teams ended the year 107-55 but no wild card so we went to a 1 game playoff. The game was tied at 2 going into the ninth inning when Washington advanced to the world series on an errant throw to first base.

The Yanks take their 107 wins and go home and to put another wrinkle on it the Senators were the heavy favorites against a 93-win Phillies team in the World Series but ended up going the distance in the best of 9 series with them. But they won the deciding game again 4-2 so Washington Senator Babe Ruth (barely) gets his first ring as a two-way player in 1918
