Roster Changes on Desktop OOTP-PT not Showing in GO
First, a couple of great recent improvements for me on GO to note:
1) GO since update ending in - 010, actually remembers your login. 2) GO since update ending in - 120 before if I was in GO and PT went to simulation and would stay there so I always had to close GO and open again to get new game results. Fixed. Now for the issue I am experiencing and this is not new. 1) I just made roster changes on Desktop putting an active player (my starting SS) for sale on Card Shop. Putting SS on Reserve to Active. Demoted an active reliever to Reserve and called up a Reserve to Active Roster. Then adjusted lineups, depth charts and reliever role. So roster has been submitted, I close out my desktop OOTP and purposefully check GO before I leave for the day and none of the changes are reflected EXCEPT the starting SS I put up on Card Shop. The roster has 25 players on it with a hole in lineup because the Reserve SS I called up is not on roster. The Reliever I demoted and Pitcher I called up are NOT reflected. To double check this: I log out of GO a couple of times and log back in with same results. I log out of GO again and bring up OOTP on desktop and ALL the changes are still in place and in order as they should be. I re-submit Roster and close out. Go back to GO and NONE of the changes excepting starting SS being put on Card Shop. So now I am going to reapply changes in GO again to match what OOTP PT on desktop is showing because I don’t know what simulation is going to use, the OOTP desktop roster or the GO roster. This is not the first time only the first time I am notifying of this issue (for me). Last edited by Socali; 11-02-2022 at 02:14 PM. Reason: Fix typo |

Hey Socali,
Was your attempts at checking on the Go app after the next server sim by any chance? Technically your submission from the desktop program will need to be simulated or advanced by the servers at least once to then have an export that your Go app would be able to download to reflect the new changes. The servers I believe are fast enough to catch sold players or players put up for sale but when it comes to roster changes those do require 1 simualtion to take effect. |

I understand your answer that changes in roster on desktop will not show on GO until the next sim. But, let me just add that I stated in OP that I didn't know which roster will sim (your saying it will be the roster as submitted via desktop) but I remembered later after posting OP that this has occurred before where I made roster/lineup changes before simming began and checked GO later that day after multiple sims and was shocked to find changes weren't applied. So, there is that. I don't make roster changes often but next time I do I will carefully replicate situation and report what happens here. I am really surprised no one else has experienced this. I am not imagining this as this never occurred before that I can recall going back to first iteration of GO. Thanks for responding though. ![]() |
