Sounds amazing. But I have some questions.

When you choose your NHL team, your AHL and ECHL minor teams can you play in 2D games and have the option to make decisions like you make for your NHL team? Example Pass, Fight, Shoot etc?

Was that included in the game?

Last year while playing the NHL games in decisions mode or 2D mode I found it was easy to score 8-10 goals every game. Has that option been adjusted? What about body checking? Has that increased?

I found that there was hardly any checks when you play the game. Most is 2 hits.


Your AHL and ECHL teams do they have an option for you to make changes manually before a game and edit lineups? What about during the game when you are playing it? Example is after the 1st period is over you can edit your lineups?

Can you have an option to have a player play on two lines? Double dipping?

Thanks for your hard work! Cannot wait for Nov 8!

I'm looking forward to the 8th and am laying the groundwork for my new fictional universe.

My questions: Have you made setting team colors a little easier? OOTP has an eye dropper so you can just click on the team logo to set colors. FHM requires me to copy and past the HTML code for team and script colors which can be very time consuming.

Like OOTP, can we now create a fictional league with historical teams and then do an initial Fantasy Draft?

Pretty excited about all those changes !

Quick question, will we have some new flavour texts coming during play-offs ?

(Like a quick recap of opposing team performances and players to follow, etc).

Right now the play-offs come a bit out of the blue, I think some kind of presentation would really add to the immersion for this special time of the season

Hi JeffR,

To say that I am looking forward to November 8th would be an understatement. Thank you for the continued development of the game.

Has the goalie usage bug has been fixed? Several users, including myself, brought up the issue of the AI coach using the backup goalie on a more frequent basis than the starter and during important games, such as playoff elimination games, notwithstanding the starter's condition/hot streak.

In my current universe I not only have the best goalie in the league, but he's the best player period. Despite this, in my past season the AI coach started the backup for 2/3s of the regular season games and the playoffs from which we were of course eliminated early. I hope this gets fixed and the GM can have some say over which goalie starts the bulk of the games.

Would it be possible to have the game hold the current page when simming?

What I mean is, if I'm on the league home page, or standings, or any other page, when I click continue, after the game runs everything, I'm returned to my GM Home Page, or if I uncheck that option, I'm returned to my Mail page.

It would be nice if I could just stay on the page I'm at instead of having to navigate back there right away.

Looks encouraging and I will be buying, but slightly disappointed the interface seems unchanged.

2D players also still seem too small on the ice and the shape of the rink isn't accurate.

More clarity around tactic suitability seems a big step forward, although I think it's important people can understand why a player is or isn't suitable, in addition to being told whether he is/isn't.

The addition of the college leagues is another big improvement.

Have the playoff screens been to show more updates from other games?

Also, please tell me there's some variation in the trading text to stop getting those 'No way!' messages repeatedly!

Any chance you changed the draft where you can now see who's pick is where, particularly in the first round. As in the past if a team had multiple first round picks it's impossible to know which first rounder is which when trying to trade the pick.

Just wanted to start by thank you you all for your time and effort to make my favorite game. This will be my ninth season supporting the project via Steam.

I normally don't normally make any request as I think most people cover everything quite well.

However there was 2 features I've always wanted to see.

1/ The first is, I would love to have the same screen customization like the way you have in OOTP Baseball. Being able to have player stats/ with rating on the same screen would save lots time when manually scouting players. I would also like to have a side side tab with the NHL/AHL/ECHL with major stats GP,GA,PTS,PIM side by side for quick references when injury's happen for call ups

2/ the second is a more condense Rating system. I'm not saying change the scouting screen or remove anything, more just with OVR OFF/DEF rating similar to the original East coast hockey simulator. Its good when looking at multiple players and need a scoring forward vs a 3/4th line grinder to just see what type players is before deep diving.

Really hope there's a way to turn off the finances aspect of the game that was added last year. Or at least having the "have your assistance manage the monthly financials point distribution" thing work. I really didn't like that part of the game, it made simulating entire seasons pretty much useless unless you stopped the sim every first of the month and allocated your budget expenses to player morale.

Exactly. It can happen during a certain year and not the year after. So weird to see your starter play like 60 games a year then 25 the year after then 60 games again.

Spotted a couple of typing errors on the AHL league description text...

"Fighting in the AHL does tend to occur a little more frequently than in the AHL..." also typing error of "independent" in second par.

If you are showing these in the main reveal video, I guess other stuff like this needs to be checked over carefully.
