How to back up a save when I can't open the game
I'm playing on the mac Steam version. Been messing around with 3D settings and now I can't see anything when the game is open. Doesn't seem there's any way to change the 3D settings outside of the game (correct me if I'm wrong!), so I'm going to reinstall. How do I backup my save game without being able to open the game itself? I have the .lg folder, can I just save that and it will backup my save, settings, sliders, etc.?

It's hard to understand what you are asking. Are you using the Steam version? I don't think reinstalling will overwrite or delete your folders in the "saved_games" folder. At least it won't overwrite saved leagues you have created and named. I know I have uninstalled older versions of the game and the "saved_games" folder was not removed. I had to manually delete it.
Now if you do a complete uninstall you will delete those folders. I'd just make a copy of the "saved_games" folder and paste it somewhere else (Desktop) before doing a complete uninstall. Then you can copy and past the files into the newly created "saved_games" folder after reinstalling. I'm on Windows so some things may be different on Mac. |
