WPORBL Retro League Openings

We have two retro, slower-paced leagues with openings. Both leagues have the same format (actually share the same rules document). The first started in 1974 and is currently wrapping up September 1975 and has 2 openings - Cubs and Pirates. It will migrate to OOTP23 at the end of the World Series. The league will enter free agency mode on 12/20 AND will expand to Toronto and Seattle a season later. The 1995 league started with 1994 and is already on OOTP23. That league is in about a week from Spring Training, 1995. The league is presently full but I believe we may have a team coming available.

Both leagues utilize Stats+, use SLACK for communication, and play daily SIM's of 2 days each. These leagues share league rules which makes things much easier to manage. The leagues run about 6 months apart so many of our members play in both as the regular seasons do not overlap. If you want to re-live 1970's and 1990's baseball at a pace that allows you to really enjoy players' careers over time, then these leagues could be a great fit. The biggest requirement is that you export weekly OR communicate when you're too busy for stints through the year. The slower pace allows guys to enjoy the league without missing huge chunks at busier times.

The leagues share a common set of rules which makes it very easy for guys to participate in both and they run 6 months apart so one league is in off-season while the other is in regular season.

Note that the WPORBL-75 now was 2 open teams (Pirates and Cubs), as we get close to wrapping up the season.
