Images Not Showing Up

I need some help. I have tried everything. Here is my issue. I have downloaded the facegen file, the logo file with NCAA logos and the files are all there, but I am not getting:

1. Any of the Penalty images to shoe up on penalties, just a black background.

2. No player images. I have activated Face-gen and the face gen images are all in the fg_files folder.

3. No College logos are appearing on the rink, or team. All that is showing up is the NHL logo.

4. No images are showing up on any other leagues either, just the default NHL logo.


the only images that ARE showing up properly are for the NHL teams. But for even the NHL games there are no player pictures, or penalty (ref) images.

Can someone tell me all the places these images should go, because I have them. Or what my problem might be. This has become a major disappointment. I have only hade the game for 2 days, and I am regretting the purpose. IMHO, the download files should go to the proper place and these kind of issues should not face the buyer.

I bought the game on Steam, and downloaded the logo pack and the facegen pack from Steam as well. Installed them both within Steam too.

Did you start your game before you installed the packs (or did you not install the packs - it's an easy step to miss)? Here's a walkthrough I did a number of years ago, but the steps haven't changed - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDGlTy67tTA

As for the Arenas one...They need to go in Rink_Pics, but I'm not sure that any current Mods have that. Rink_pics are a larger size (300x300, versus 150x150 the standard ones in the game are), so they would need to likely be redone by someone in the community (unless they are in the Mega pack - but I have no idea on that).

When you check your penalty_pics folder as well - is it empty?

Yes, I installed the packs, and the images are all there. I have only had the game for 2 days, so I have not really started a game. I have just been running an exhibition, checking it to see if everything is there in terms of all the images, then quitting the game, and trying to look inside all the game folders and see what is present.

Thanks for the YouTube video, I will look at it and see if there is anything that I notice. Can you verify what folder the facegen files (of the players) go in. I placed them into the folder fg_files.

All of my logos are present in the folder player_pics, and the penalty images are all in the penalty_pics folder.

So an exhibition game still generates a Save File - so you'll need to check in there to see if the files got copied over. If you say, ran an exhibition before you downloaded things, it's possible it wouldn't have copied over. You could delete the Exhibition game in your save file though, and that would force it to regenerate.

Ok, I "think" I have things working. It is hard to check everything, but I deleted the exhibition game folder, and all other saved games folders and the created an NHL game, an NCAA game and everything worked well.

The new exhibition game seemed to have everything as well, the penalty images showed, ... player photos don't seem to be used in a straight up exhibition match.

So, unless I find something else. I want to thank you for helping me. Much Appreciated.
