Moving Saved games to Different drive
HI all,
I know this has been covered and there was a youtube video about it, but I am not sure it is correct for my current config. Currently my saved_games are: C:\Users\username\OneDrive\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 23\saved_games My game is installed already on my D drive and my data folder is here: D:\Program Files (x86)\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Out of the Park Baseball 23\data What are the steps I take to make to D: Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 23\saved_games as the outcome. Do I make the data folder on the D drive my customizable path and delete the app data still under C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 23\config Went into my paths.cfg and it is already currently routing to the D drive data folder. If so, then what would I do after that? Step by step directions appreciated! Last edited by rleibowitz; 11-29-2022 at 03:02 PM. |

Apparently, all I had to do was close the file and the next time I loaded it recognized that D-drive data path all I had to do was copy and paste the league files into the saved_games file under the d drive saved_games folder data path, and was good to go. So I had already done all the work.

I don't think this is quite the same issue, but it's very similar so I'll post it here...
In my case, the game is filling up One Drive, when I'd rather it save data to my C drive. - The game appears to be installed here: C:\Program Files\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 23 - The data is going here: C:\Users\username\OneDrive\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 23\saved_games So two questions: 1. For future saves, how do I tell OOTP to save all the data on the C drive, not OneDrive? 2. For my existing game, can I move the data to the C drive and then tell that saved game to now look in the specific C drive? If so, what would the steps be? Thanks in advance ![]() |

It's an install option. I uninstalled all older versions of OOTP I had installed (I have every copy dating back to 16) on my C Drive and moved them to a dedicated external drive for OOTP. When I did so, I made sure I set it up for the entire game to install into the O:\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball ## drive.
Based on what you want, you want it all installed in this location, right? C:\Program Files\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 23 You'd rather it not populate your Documents folder?

You can change where you want your data saved/installed even after the game installation.

b) How do we change where data is saved after installation. I see some paths (on the Settings > Database panel) where we can change the location for database, facegens, logos, etc., but not for "data." |

Bumping... I've tried a few things but still not able to get the game to save files on C drive rather OneDrive. Anybody?

Try to follow along with what that video runs you through. If you have any issues with that DM me and I'll see what I can do to assist you with that. Thanks Alex |
