CPU teams playing backup goalie too much

i've noticed that a lot of the CPU NHL teams in my current season are playing the backup goalie the majority of the team. how do I fix this while I'm in the middle of the season?

I’m actually having the same issue on my own team. In 48th season and I would say in 40 of them my backup plays the majority.

can the devs post an update, if this will be fixed by a patch, or if there is a workaround (modifying particular attributes maybe) ?
