Newbie - Trading Draft Picks OOTP 23

Hello all,

Under the League Settings - > Rules I have both selected

'Allow draft pick tracking;

'Allow major league deals for draft picks'

However I can not find any way to work them into a deal. There is only the 'add cash' option when initiating a trade and from what I can find in videos, there is not that box underneath to add draft picks.

Are there other settings that need to be adjusted or am I just missing something completely. Appreciate any thoughts and if there is a video explaining as such please let me know.

See attached image. Adding draft picks dropdown is directly below where you add cash. (double red underline)

Below that you can select the various levels of your minors, or other options. (single red underline)

Allow major league deals for draft picks means you once you draft a player you can sign him to an ML deal right away, you don't have to go through the arby yrs.

Appreciate the response and unsure of the formatting/inserting but screenshots attached. That option is not there for me.

Perhaps the only time to do this is during the offseason?

If draft pick trading is enabled, it applies all the time that trading is allowed, not just off season.

I'm stumped on this one. Try putting yourself in Commish Mode (that should not make a difference) but I'm curious to see if it does anything.

No luck.

Have also changed role to 'Manager and GM' in the 'Manager Options' to control everything there with no change

I'm sure it's one of the 17434 check boxes that are buried in here but so far, no success.

Absolutely must be GM to make trades. If you were manager only that would be part of it.

Are you "Acting As" GM, or are you actually employed by the team as their GM.

Employed. Attached is what I've changed everything to.. both just as GM and GM and Manager. Normally play the game just in GM role.

As long as you're one of the 2 GM roles you should have no problem making trades. I'm sorry I can't think of anything else to try. This has me stumped, maybe I'm over looking something obvious too.

Hopefully some one else will pop in with a suggestion.

Good question and yes..

In addition I can see that the AI has made trades as well

It's the day of the draft in the game, I might add. Not sure if that is a factor or not.

There you go - problem solved I believe. Pretty sure you can't trade picks on draft day. Reason is trades take more than a game day to get processed.

Suggest making a copy of your league and finishing draft day, move to next day. Then try a trade with a pick.

If it works in the copy, you can moved forward with your good copy.
