Coaches relationships w/Players

I've been watching plenty of OOTP advice videos and recently I've come across PFHolden's series with the Kansas City Royals and for maybe the first time I'm beginning to hear how important coaches relationships are with the players.

I've felt for the last 3 seasons my pitchers have been under performing relative to their ratings, and when I heard this and checked my coaches relationships, my current bench coach has a fair or worse rating with EVERY single pitcher on my team.

Is it impacting the teams performance just because they aren't fans of the coach? How important is my coaches relationship with the players, relative to his other ratings.

Thanks

My personal preference is to ignore it. I've never paid any attention to relationships/morale/etc because I'm of the opinion that in RL hitters hit and pitchers pitch. I build the best team I have and hire the best coaches I can and trust that they will both succeed.

Then there's the question of whether whatever effect there is involves real players only fictional players. If it affects real players this is a huge mistake by OOTP.

THIS must be a great idea. My consistent detractors didn't show up en masse to argue against it. They didn't show up HERE either.

For my main squad, i will make sure one of my manager and bench coach works well with pitchers and the other works well with batters.

For the minor leagues, I will make sure mostly the hitting coach or pitching coach have good or excellent relationships with the top prospects i hope they will work well with - i have seen great results, if the hitting or pitching coach also has outstanding or legendary in influencing mechanics, those who have good and especially excellent relationships with the coach can increase their potential.

I have had a 20+ potential pitcher developed into a 67 potential pitcher in 5 seasons. And a 5th round draft pick developed into one of the best hitters in the league.
