Sorry you will be moving on. My favorite logo set you've done is the Austin Rustlers. Do you have a link to the Austin logos and wordmarks?

Sorry to see you go as well low.

I for one am appalled at what is happening to this game.

I stopped purchasing this game ( or I guess the license to play this game??) after OOTP22. Mainly because of the templates changes. I have a bazillion logos, jerseys, and caps.. I'm not going to redo them. It looks like I made a lucky choice there. I didn't delve too much into the [removed] league too much but at times I did. hmmm

I'm not surprised though. It seems the way of the world and the new global rules are to alienate fan bases, flip them the bird and give the standard corporate spiel, yada yada yada......... I mean look at what "they" allowed to happen to Scooby Doo. RHUTT RO!

And one more thing to mention is that the mod who closed the other thread in the General section, asking posters to be kind and respect each other is one of the most rude, disrespecting and offensive people I've ever met on line. Irony unsurpassed.

Thats my 2c's and maybe my last........

rocknfire7, the old graphics work in OOTP23... that's what I've been told... the only problem is when you zoom in close in 3D animation, then the team names get stretched and look bad... I don't use the zoom camera, so it's no problem... jg2977 uses OOTP23 and doesn't zoom in close... he told me the old graphics look fine.

The old format does work fine as long as you don't zoom in. And we can color the pants to match now, which is nice. For now things are fine. For now.

Thanks for the post, Scipio Africanus... I know you know your stuff with graphics and stadiums.

Much appreciate your willing to help us with the game with your knowledge.

As one who does play zoomed in, the new jersey template is great. No more distortion of symbols below the chest or too close to the side of the torso. No more warping of designs on the back of the jersey. The Astros look fantastic using the new template.

The old template for the profile pictures model is by far superior. I much prefer the profile pics in 22 over 23. But for playing in HP view, the new template is by far superior on the field.

The old on-field player models were not really designed for the close-up view. The new model is, hence the wireframes that we can use to create more detailed designs to flow smoothly around the 3D model.

For me, the biggest problem with the close view in 23 is that the running animation, especially for baserunners, seems herky-jerky. Almost a mechanical waddle instead of a smooth running animation. I like the appearance of the uniforms on-field so much better in 23, but the running animation quality is smoother in 22. I play both but still play 22 more at this point.

Good post, Pendragon... thank you.

It really is a dilemma... I have two dynasty leagues with excellent customed jerseys...80 teams in all... sadly there is no way I can get them redone using the new templet.

Sad to hear that OOTP23 animation is not as smooth as OOTP22... I plan to switch to OOTP23 soon after the last patch this year... hope I'm not disappointed.

But like you, I am fine with OOTP22 animation and the overall game.

I fully understand the scope of having to redo all the uniforms. So far, I've remade my Armed Forces Baseball League uniforms, with some modifications and new teams. I've also created new uniforms for expansion teams for my expanded MLB league. But it will take awhile to remake all of my 100+ uniforms for various leagues.

But there's no hurry.

With regard to the animations, the game is still enjoyable, it just takes a little getting used to. And if you don't play zoomed in like I do, it might not be that noticeable.

Thanks for everything, low. This series powered many of my leagues forever. Appreciate all the effort.

Thanks guys. I didn't say I was totally done. I'm just done with my own fictional leagues. So many parts of OOTP need some love, but that's another topic for another day in another forum. I may be open to doing requests soon. I'm sure I'll get that urge when baseball season is upon us.

well i don't know low but don't those jerseys look a bit different in the '24 trailer than in '23 template? They do to me.

I haven't read through all of the thread here. Could someone give me a quick "how to" on installing this in OOTP24? I am creating a fictional league with real players.

Edit - MacOS version

Aardvarks/Anteaters

I don't know if anyone's commented (I don't know how to search within this topic), but...
The logo labeled "aardvarks" is a giant anteater. And the logos for the anteaters is an aardvark.

Edit: Although, now that I think about it, a team called the "anteaters" with what is clearly an aardvark sitting on top of "ANTEATERS" makes for a cool logo for a minor league team. It's like a mistake that was embraced by fans.

Hmm... I skipped last year's version but since I have picked up OOTP25 I'm kind of getting that itch again. Now I'd have socks and fonts to mess around with. Maybe when I get done creating an entire NCAA D1 league I might make uniforms again. "Might" being the key word.

I've been away from this game for quite a while, but this could definitely drag me back in. Hope to see you back.
