In other news, the Chicago Cougars fired Head Coach Ashton McMullan on February 24th. It was an odd time to fire the coach as the Cougars have been well out of the playoffs for some time now but maybe felt that a shakeup was needed. Dennis Merritt will fill the role of Head Coach.

Colten Thornton has also been injured and is likely out until the end of the season. This is heartbreaking news for a team that has an easy month of games ahead of them and is fighting tooth and nail for a playoff spot.

Ken Mason of the Anaheim Bullfrogs scored the game 4 game-winning goal with 3:01 left in the 3rd period to push the Blades to the brink of elimination. Detroit easily sweeps New York and is looking unstoppable.

Good effort by Boston, but even with the league's top scorer Manny Simmons out the Bullfrogs still have an incredibly deep roster.

Anaheim will face Detroit in the first-ever Murphy Cup Finals. The 2 juggernauts of the regular season will clash to crown the inaugural champion of the Roller Hockey Association.

Congratulations to the first-ever Murphy Cup champions. The Detroit Vipers handily beat the Anaheim Bullfrogs to win the inaugural season. The Bullfrogs deeply missed Simmons as the Vipers took the series in a quick 5 game series. Detroit's huge trade before the trade deadline paid off huge with Shaun MacIntosh scoring 11 goals in 9 games in the playoffs, insane!

In other news, The Americans are off to a league-worst start after having a seemingly amazing off-season. No doubt that Head Coach Robert Couture's job will be on the line if he can't turn this talented team around soon.
