Ohtani rule not working?
Is this a bug or am I being dumb?
I have traded for Shohei Ohtani and he is set up as a 2-way player in his personal game strategy setting. I also have the 'let SP stay in game as DH' option selected in the rules section of the games settings. However, when I replaced him as SP in his first appearance, the game automatically put the RP into Shohei's batting position. I have tried to replace the RP from both the main game page and from the game options page but still no luck. Am I missing something? Any help much appreciated. |

My guess is it's either something to do with your manager options or how exactly you're replacing him. Check this thread out, particularly Matt's posts.

May have spotted issue
Thanks for prompt reply and for pointing out the previous thread - I had tried to search for a similar thread but this had not been picked up by the search.
I think the issue may be the 'Skip DH when pitching' option in SH's game strategy. I agree with the person who commented it is not logically written. I will need to check if this solves the problem. Thanks. |

I was going to point that option out, but I figured that would only be a problem if he wasn't batting from the start and you didn't mention that. Is he batting from the start of his games?

Think I may have figured out the problem. Will post my reply in the other thread you highlighted.
