Players automatically resigning

Why are players automatically being re-signed? I have not offered extensions to players, nor do I have signings set to AGM, but players are resigning offers I have never sent.

The game is also listing my AGM as the teams 'GM'.

Did you just take over the team? If so then the offers may have already been made prior to you becoming the GM.

Another possibility is a meddling owner will sometimes bypass you and offer extensions to players.

Make sure you are still the GM not AGM.

It was an expansion team, i took over before the draft. Are contract extensions from players previous teams holding over after then are selected in the expansion draft?

If they were already signed to the extension before you drafted them, then those would transfer, but pending offers would not.

Check if you have “Do Not Disturb” turned on in the Manager’s Office. If it is toggled on, turn it off.

they were not signed... I am getting news items about players signing extensions and I never offered them extensions.

I do not have 'Do Not Disturb' on...

Are you actually the GM? That first screenshot says that Jerry Dipoto is the General Manager. Are you "Acting As" the GM and did not actually go through the available job offers and accept the job? If you had done that, Dipoto should be the Asst GM, not the GM. If you did accept the job through the available job offers, look at the teams Personnel page and see how that displays, if it all looks right, then I would upload your league files in the support forum for them to look at, could be a weird bug.

It's a typo. I'm the GM in my league w/ Alex Anthopolous as my AGM and the Manager Options screen still lists AA as the GM.

Besides, the screenshot also says first "You currently are the general manager of the Portland Beavers." So yeah, the OP is definitely the general manager.

Ahh ok, I don't think I ever noticed that typo. I checked and did the "Act As" option and it says that the AI still controls the team (see screenshot), so if I were the OP, I would upload the league files to the support forum and let them look at it.

Controlling owners are the worst, they will give out huge contracts to over the hill role players blowing the whole budget and then complain about how I'm not winning. Makes me sympathetic for the Angels GM who has to deal with Arte Moreno, but it's no fun for me.

In one save my team's owner changed to a controlling owner, so I traded all my promising young players to the worst team in the league and then quit and took that job. Unethical, sure, but that's the cost of being a meddling owner.

I came in to say that this was also happening to me, but at least now I know why.

It would be great, then, that we got some notice when that happened, like a message from the owner (who is always quick to point out when you are disappointing him/her/them).
