OOTP 23 -> 24 FaceGen Import

Repost of my thread here on the advice of u/AESP_pres.

I just moved my monster European save from 23 to 24, but I found that the FaceGens didn't come along. Big names like Messi had random FaceGens, as did generated players, and any player that was a FA at the time of import had no face, even if a face had been previously generated.

Anyone have any experience with this? Can I just copy the faces.dat from my 23 save to my 24 save and then... what?

Looking for help if anyone can provide it. Thanks!

All facegen files end in .fg. Copy the folder from 23 to 24. Z:\...\OOTP Baseball 23\data\fg_files to Z:\...\OOTP Baseball 24\data\fg_files. Copy the fg_files folder.

Thanks for the response. That folder in my 23 directory (OOTP Baseball 23\fg_files) looks like it only has historical players, not the fictional ones I had in my previous save.

So if I had historical baseball players in my save, that would work, but it doesn't work for purely fictional players.

Any other ideas?

If it's a fictional league then open documents-ootp baseball 23-saved games-the name of your league-news-html-images-person pictures.

The pictures should be there. copy and paste to the same place in ootp 24.
You should be able to overwrite what is already there.

There is also a folder "profile_pictures" that you may also want to copy over because I'm not sure if the game will automatically repopulate that folder
