Plowshares
It is actually probably better with the text Ohio removed. The border can be an O, or the team could be located in another place. And it's bleaker, which is what I am going for here.

Of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder... plus variety is the spice of life.
I prefer the one with Ohio. Suggest that you make the sky a sunrise color... orangish yellow or yellowish orange... signifying he is working "sun up to sun down". This logo brought back memories to me... I was 5 years old and living out in the country on a farm... an old black sharecropper used to let me walk in front of him when he was plowing... yep, EC really thought he was doing the plowing. It's more depressing with the dull blue-gray color he's given the sky, which I think is what he was going for here. The sky is much brighter in the original painting. |

I will try it with a brighter sunrise/set color though. The original has a lighter blue sky in some images online, darker in others, although it's hard to know if that is different quality photos of the painting, with different light in the room, or if it is due to the age of the paint?
It could look more hopeful with a different sky, which will be nice to see. This discussion is another thing I really like about the painting, it can be seem as either bleak or hopeful. The war is at least over. Perhaps I will make some more agricultural implement teams

Our prayers are with Kevin and his family. 20_range, you might be bored with my mundane taste in logos and jerseys... I am so traditional. I would love to see what you could do... you could do an adventurous for you... and do a traditional one for me. Do you think you want to do some logos for my Islandian Pro Alliance? Let me know... EC has never met a graphics guru I didn't like. Yep, I love you talented guys... nope, I don't always use what you make... EC is just too darn picky and hard-to-please. |

Hollywood Busters
I'm doing some logos for Eugene, so far the Hartsdale Hellcats, San Dimas Firebrands, and the Blue Lake Blue Caps. Well, I ended up working with some Buster Keaton posters.
So here is Buster as Andy Pettite. I rarely like "intimidating" or "tough" logos but I have accidentally made one Buster just looks so hard in this poster for The General. Like he is going to ... bust one up and in

Agree with Jabez54... the Busters are brilliant and unique... really something.
20_range, did you choose black and white on purpose?... symbolic of silent and black and white movies? Last edited by Eugene Church; 07-25-2023 at 11:04 AM. |

Love it, maybe I'll rebrand one of my IPA teams. Would need uniforms to go along with the logos. Or if I create a secondary league to run alongside with my IPA, that could work too..

Jeff, If you can't get a talented graphics guy to do them for you... you can always use me as a last resort... I could make average-looking 2D jerseys and caps.

thanks allyup I tried to go for a black and white color scheme for the old movie style. it looks pretty good in the game Jg, I can easily change the location name from Hollywood to something else if you would like a specific fictional place. The logos have the color codes on them so the game will at least make placeholder uniforms. Also, looking at them now, it needs an additional small logo with the B, with the hat leaning on top.

Seattle Mariners rebrands
It's 2053 in my game and the Mariners still haven't won the pennant.
I did some Mariners logos where they're the Titanic. |
