Can anyone explain this rating drop
In my online league I have a 3B who is 27. He put up over 5 war with a .912 ops last year and this season he has put up over 6 war with a .957 ops and a .309 ba. Great right? Well unfortunately over the course of this season his contact has gone from 65 to 50 and keeps going down. It makes absolutely no sense with the season he’s had, and his performance. How do I make sense of this? I am a low budget team so it’s already playing on very hard mode, it’s just very frustrating.

Im not an expert, but i believe its TCR. Talent randomizer function, that can make or break players. And it is very similar to real life. Where players just go from bums to stars and vice versa. Also maybe ur scout is wrong, and or budget went down.

Rating going down during the season can be the result of Talent Change Randomness. If you're using some form of recalc rather than only development then the ratings will reset after the season based on recalc. However that doesn't mean the player is going to go back to 65.

Pirates Play Moneyball 1951 to 2008 46,000 views and counting!... Wow, up to 47,000, thank you. Wow, I hadn't checked for weeks. Oct 9 2024 its 79,561. Why do people use different players, different lineups, different strategy, development, talent change randomness, and the development lab, but judge the game on whether it produces historical statistics? |
