Injury Data

https://apnews.com/article/mlb-injur...5f5cb43b8e44f3

I was wondering if anyone has had time to look at this, or had an opinion? The latest injury data is out for the most recent MLB season. According to the link players spent a total of 44,461 days in the IL this season. There were 848 actual placements of players on the IL.

I'm a player that uses realistic (modern day) settings for all injuries. I was wondering if anyone has a modern day sim going with the realistic modern day setting that has any information to share? How close is OOTP from reality? I plan to test this myself when I have time but thought maybe someone has already done the leg work. Thanks for any feedback.

I know it was tested by one of the beta guys several years ago - come to think of it, more than a decade now - and they heightened up the "Realistic: Modern Day" setting because they found that injury rates were waaaaay too low. Has it been retested since then? Not by anyone outside of the main team, I don't think...

I don't have hard data to show, but in my experience, to get a realistic number of injuries you definitely want injury frequency at 'very high' for both short and long term injuries.
