The too early wish list for FHM 10

The German DEL allows 11 foreigner to be contracted for a season, but only 9 to be dressed at the same time.


In FHM 9 its not possible to sign more than 9 foreigners.


Wish this would be fixed in FHM10 and 11 foreigners can be signed.

1. Easily hosted multiplayer modes (not clumsy manual FTP)
2. More tutorials and in-game guiding.

it should be possible to sign > 9 foreigners, but you can´t have them all in your active roster.
Workaround: put them on injury reserve list (I´m not sure if this does work but you can give it a shot)

Two very small things I would like to see is achievements beside coaches names like it is done with players and I would also like to see the stats displayed for the Player of the Month.

For example if McDavid wins player of the month it should show he had 10 goals and 5 assists for that month.

That's an idea, although in my current game no foreigners are injured.


Also I could not get them off the active roster, since none of them has a minor league option in the contract.


So they way I found to work around is, change the nationality of a foreigner to german in commissoner mode, hire a new guy, and than change the nationality back...


Nevertheless, it would be great to have the option to hire 11 foreigner without "god mode".

What are the Flyers doing?, is the real question! Best I can tell, they ended up with a 6th (their own) and 7th, and the Rangers ended up with Wood and a 5th. So basically, if you hash this out, the Flyers sent Wood and a 5th for a 7th in return. If Wood's value is anything better than nothing, then the Flyers got fleeced badly.

1) fix the facegen and player card bugs (so i don't have to reload every single fg that disappear. Makes it tidious when you have a 19000 fg doc file)
2) make prospects in historical mode not instantly jump to AHL when signed (even if 18 years old or NCAA player) - let them play in the juniors or NCAA or countries teams if they are foreign.
3) one solution for the number 2 suggestion is to add historical junior teams, ncaa and foreign teams so players don't get instantly get booted to the AHL when signed of if not signed playing in the independent team I kinda find this odd to have tons of players ending in the indendent team (canada,usa players) and AHL (18-24 years old players)
4) have a system where AI coachs, management, scouts and trainers have a progression format

Since everyone else has listed a lot of good things, I'll just add some quality of life things I wish we could get:

1. Be able to customize the tiles of the team home page. I hate having an NHL team with the (blank) block in the lower right hand corner that says "parent teams". If we can't customize that, please just let it be goalie leaders for NHL teams (to go with the "scoring leaders" tile

2. Allow for manual generation of player cards and team photos (like OOTP). And, on the player cards, have the players take up at least 3/4 of the frame. Right now it is about 1/2 which looks odd.

3. Tell us what the unsportsmanlike conduct penalty was for either in the in game commentary or in the box score.

You can customize the home screen by clicking on the arrow in the right hand corner.

Agree 100% to both those. Even though Jeff has said multiple times the facegen bug seems impossible to find/fix. So not sure about that one.



But even with OOTP the multiple jerseys kinda become pointless out side of actual gameplay. Not sure really how to fix that to spice it up a bit outside of gameplay.

Its such a pain to have to start the game. check a player so the jersey appears. then close the game and save the new jersey as the name..

74 and 75 WHA expansion drafts for Phoenix,Indy,
Cincinnati and Denver
The ability to not have a draft for WHA in 72 and 78. Also would be nice to have this feature for earlier NHL seasons.
WHA teams being able to protect the right amount of players in the 1979 Expansion draft


and may not be doable but would like to see dispersal drafts from folding WHA teams.

late to the party but I'm hoping for revamped training and scouting

Training - I hope it reflects a more realistic day-to-day practice schedule for a hockey team. Let me as coach decide if off-days will have team practices, individual drills, physical strength training, video sessions, or the day off completely. Certain drills would improve certain skills, etc etc etc.

Scouting - Forgive the possible blasphemy but I'd really like you guys to borrow from EHM on this. I'd like to be able to assign scouts to specific leagues or regions, and depending on a scouts attributes they can handle different workloads (one scout can handle 4 leagues, another one can only handle 2). Playing as LIU in NCAA at the start I would have only a few scouts looking in the northeastern junior leagues, NAHL and USHL, but as my program grows I could expand my scouting to BCHL, AJHL, etc etc.

Here's hoping, but no matter what I'm sure I'll enjoy FHM 10

The scouting actually use to be similar to what you're looking for, but they did away with it for some reason. I'm guessing in an attempt to simplify it.
